How it works

Fresh bread at your front door, without a trip to the bakery. Set up a standing order and let us keep the bread coming. Doorstep delivery is always included.

1. Start a bread subscription

Choose what you’d like in your regular order, then select the Bread Subscription tier. Your cart becomes your standing order: the same items will be delivered on your chosen delivery day at whatever frequency works for you—every week, every two weeks, every three weeks, or beyond.

Not ready for that kind of bread commitment? Choose the One-Time Order tier instead. You’ll get exactly the same bread and doorstep delivery, just once.

2. We’ll remind you before every order

On Fridays or Saturdays, we send a text with what’s happening at the bakery that week and a link to your upcoming order.

Follow the link to see what’s coming, add or remove items, or skip that week’s delivery entirely. Skipping is easy—just hit Skip. Your subscription will pick back up with your next scheduled delivery.

Your order is automatically charged at noon two days before your delivery:

Tuesday delivery → charges Saturday at noon
Thursday delivery → charges Monday at noon
Friday delivery → charges Tuesday at noon

Make any changes—or skip your delivery—before that cutoff.

3. Your standing order is yours to change

Add a loaf. Take something out. Try this week’s special. Your subscription doesn’t have to stay exactly the way you originally set it up.

There is just one important thing to remember: changes stick.

Add a baguette this week? Congratulations, you now have a recurring baguette. If you only wanted it once, remember to remove it before your next order.

4. We bake it. We bring it.

Once orders close, we get to work. We mix, ferment, shape and bake your order, load up our itty bitty blue Subaru Sambar bread van, and bring it straight to your front door.

Delivery is included—no extra delivery fee at checkout.

Delivery day

We hit the road at 5 a.m., with deliveries typically running through 11 a.m. When we set out, you’ll get a text with a live ETA that updates as we make our way to you.

You don’t need to be home. Have a storm door? We’ll tuck your order between the doors. Otherwise, leave out a cooler or critter-proof box—we have some very bread-motivated squirrels in DC.
